Dr. John Maxwell is an author, speaker, teacher, mentor, and overall authority on leadership worldwide. He has spoken at countless events on the keys to becoming successful through strong leadership and values. Some of audiences have included Fortune 500 Companies, and ambassadors to the United Nations. As an author, he has sold over 16 million books; some of his most popular titles include 12 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, Leadership Gold, and The Difference Maker. Maxwell takes a practical but surprisingly inspirational tone in explaining what it takes to be a leader in the 21st century.
As well as writing and speaking, Dr. Maxwell has founded several organizations that have made a significant impact in educating future leaders. These include INJOY, Maximum Impact, ISS and EQUIP. Leaders from over 80 nations are involved in the development of EQUIP, which strives to develop effective international Christian leaders: "Our program is attuned in such a way that we intentionally want to provide positive male role models for the boys due to the lack of father figures in their lives." Maxwell himself has been awarded the number 1 rank on the international Leadership Gurus survey for two years in a row.
Through speaking and writing, Maxwell gives the common man practical steps in developing leadership. Unlike get-rich-quick schemes, Maxwell inspires his audience to be morally responsible for their actions. "Policies are many, Principles are few, "says Maxwell. Maxwell has been an important figure at NAA because of his inspirational message of leadership. Several of his books are on Andy Albright's reading list, and he has spoken at various conference and conventions for the company. Recently, NAA donated 5,000 dollars to Maxwell's EQUIP program in hopes of supporting leaders around the world.
